Hey coach. Summer is here. If those goals and intentions you had back in January feel oh so far away, then this is the perfect moment for a reset. I'm Kendall. Tune in because in today's episode, I'm going to share with you three simple steps you can take in just 10 minutes to help you find your mojo, just in case you feel like you lost it a bit, and to press reset on your intentions, your goals, your dreams for this year.

Plus, I have two key mindsets for you that will keep you out of goal comparison, and I have my favorite self-coaching questions for you to reconnect with your goals, reconnect with your intentions, without giving up any of the summer relaxation that you want to enjoy. Yes, you can have it all with what I'm covering in today's episode. It's all here for you in this episode of The Money Coach School Podcast. Let's dive in.

Welcome to The Money Coach School Podcast. To really excel at coaching women, you have to be skilled, confident, and even fearless at money coaching. If you're passionate about women holding genuine money power and love supporting women entrepreneurs, then this is the show for you. Now, here's your host, money feminist Kendall SummerHawk.

Hey coach, so here we are, midway through June, which I personally find has the vibe of being at a crossroads. It's like you know all those dreamy goals and ideas, and intentions you had for your coaching business back in January? Well, they may be feeling so far away at this point. Summer's weather is gorgeous, the days are long, the sun is shining. You want to make the best of family time and time outside, and all that heat may be beckoning you to relax and enjoy the pleasures that you may not have had access to during the winter.

I understand. But trust me, you have not lost your mojo. Although yes, it may have slipped a little bit. Now for me, June always feels like that crossroads, and I have a choice. I can give in and say oh well, I guess those dreams and goals weren't meant to be. There's always the fall. I'm busy, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, right? That's certainly the easiest path to take, but that is not the path that I choose to take.

Because even though it being so hot here in Arizona where I live makes me just want to nap, which I definitely do often this time of year. I'm also aware that my dreams and goals light me up and feeling connected to them is inspiring. As one of the lines in my manifesto says, as coaches, we eat inspiration for breakfast. By the way, as a side note, I'll share my manifesto with you at the end of this episode so you can hear it in full for yourself.

All right, so back to being at the June crossroads. The one path seduces you into thinking it's okay, let go of those dreams, relax, have fun, tomorrow is another day. But the other path, the courageous coach's path, is one I choose to take, and I hope you will choose to take as well. This is the path where yes, you enjoy summer's pleasures, absolutely, but not by shoving aside your dreams and goals. It's not either or, it's yes and.

I talked about this regarding money, either or with money, in episode number 35, which I'll link to in the show notes. So just like money is not either or, it's yes and, so are your dreams and your goals along with enjoying life. So the masculine mindset is all or nothing. The feminine mindset is yes and.

So there's really two mindsets that I want you to embrace. The first is that one that I just said, dreams and goals along with enjoying life, so it's yes and. The second mindset is that actions carry momentum, and there are still six incredible months in the year for you to absolutely end this year, 2024, achieving your coaching income and impact goals.

So I'm here to coach you through this. To do that, I'm going to give you three simple steps that I do to get realigned and reignited right now, mid-year. Plus I'm going to give you self-coaching questions that will serve you in reigniting your mojo, setting yourself up for success, and doing it all with grace and ease.

I think it's an understatement to say that something changed for us because of the pandemic. It shifted our internal conversation about what we want and what our vision is for ourselves. Our internal conversation shifted into is this meaningful? Does this bring me joy and fulfillment? Does this align with my purpose and calling?

Simultaneously, for many women, their responsibilities increased, as if women needed that, right? So we had both this internal questioning and evaluating based on what really matters most, along with external pressure to show up when we're just tired or not feeling it. Then you look at your January intentions and goals, and it can trigger feeling unworthiness or shame, or what I call not good enoughness.

Now, here's the main point I want to give you. The answer is not to try to start from where you were six months ago. It's to start from where you are right now. How you do that is not to discard your original intention or goals from six months ago. It’s to look at them with a new set of self-coaching questions that help you realign and reconnect so that you can feel connected and purposeful, which is an energizing place for you to be.

So here's the three steps showing you exactly how to do this. By the way, if you have not yet downloaded my free Money Word of the Year guide, this is the perfect moment to get your hands on it. I will link to it in the show notes. It has proven to be my most popular downloadable guide ever. If you want a fast, effective way to immediately start shifting your relationship with money, my Money Word of the Year download will give you that. This is the perfect day to go download it where we are right now, midway through the year.

All right, so back to these three steps showing you exactly how to reconnect and to reignite your mojo and your connection to your intentions. Step number one, re-decide. What were the intentions or goals that you had six months ago? Pull them out if you wrote them down or remember what they were and jot them down right now. Yes, you want to see them in writing to do this exercise. So you have what they were. Then one by one for each one, ask these three self-coaching questions.

Question number one, is this something I want because it lights me up? This is really about honoring and respecting that you have a great reason for why you wanted to do that goal in the first place, why you want to achieve it. Not that it's just a should or something you thought that you should do, or you're doing out of some other reason that really is not authentic for you. So is this something I want because it lights me up?

Question number two, is it something I've been rejecting or minimizing because I don't believe it's possible for me? That is so common for a woman to do is to say well, I really want this, but I don't know if I can do that. The self-talk turns very doubting. A person often rejects or minimizes the goal. Don't do that. Don't reject or minimize your goal. Because if you have a dream of doing it, you can absolutely have the ability to do it.

Question number three, is there a different way of doing this that I'm now open to? When we give up on something we really truly want because we don't see the way to achieving it, it can feel soul crushing. It's like your intuition is giving you those nudges, but if you let the how or if you let circumstances divert you, you're not being true to yourself. So when you look at that original intention or goal, if it's something you really want, then now is the moment to re-decide that, yes, this still holds true for you.

This is your moment to re-decide, to choose again what you want, and to choose with deep intention. I think you're best able to do that when you look at the why behind your intention or goal. That why needs to be super clear and really specific, nothing vague and nothing fluffy. This is what connects you to your intention and gives meaning to it. When you connect with the deep meaning of your intention, it gives it the significance that you need to love it and to stay committed to it, no matter what challenges or distractions may come up. So let me give you an example.

This is happening for me in my business right now. I am just now starting to work with a new social media company. This is like the fifth company that I've tried to work with over the last couple of years. None of the others have worked out for a variety of reasons. It would be easy to say, well, this isn't meant for me, or this just doesn't work for me, or well, we can just do it ourselves. None of which are true. None of that is true.

So instead, I went back to my original intention, which is to have social media that truly reflects me and my brand, that accurately represents the incredible coach certification trainings that my company offers, and to make sales from social every single day. I'm clear about my intention.

So then I ask those three self-coaching questions that I just gave you. That first question was, is this something I want because it lights me up? The answer is yes. When I reflect on the why of this intention, it's still incredibly important to me because I know it's going to create even more impact out there in the world, training and certifying more women to be successful coaches. It's going to 10X the number of women that we're impacting through Sacred Money Archetype certification and through our Money Breakthrough Business Coach certified coach training. It's going to elevate my business to where I dream of it being. So that's all clear.

Then I ask is it something I'm rejecting or minimizing because I don't believe it's possible for me? I'll be honest, the answer was sometimes yes. Meaning, just a little bit of a yes. Meaning I've had flickers of doubt about my own dream. Here I am sitting here with you, talking with you, having made nearly $30 million in my business just since 2008. So yes, even as a very successful woman entrepreneur and in the coaching space, I still can have flickers of doubt.

So I had to be honest about that. then I ask, is there a different way of doing this that I am now open to? The answer was yes. I immediately knew a different approach that I can take and use the delays and the failed attempts at hiring a company to instead help me redefine what I was looking for in a company that's going to help us and to aim for the very best instead of playing too small with who I was hiring.

So the big takeaway here is this. When you re-decide, be crystal clear what you want. You have the gift of hindsight here to help you. So you're likely going to be more clear than you were six months ago. So write down your intention or goal as you want it today.

All right, number two, allow the middle to be messy. So if you're a perfectionist, I hear you girlfriend because I am too, but I know this is incredibly challenging. But if you don't allow the middle to be messy, then you're going to feel anxiety or frustration or impatience or comparison to others or comparison to where you think you should be.

So as entrepreneurs, and specifically as sensitive coaches, it's natural to want to avoid the feelings that can come from being messy in the middle. The secret is to change your perspective from expecting perfection when you're in the middle of your journey to a new perspective that you are in control of your experience as you go through the actions of achieving your goal. You are in control of how you experience walking the path between where you are now and where you want to be.

Just because it's challenging does not mean it has to be stressful. I want you to really take that in. Something can be challenging without being stressful. So yes, you want that 100K year or the $250,000 year, whatever it is in your coaching business, but you don't need to be miserable in the process. Again, reflecting back on the pandemic, it changed us to no longer be willing to set aside our values in pursuit of an external goal. You get to honor your values in walking the path towards your goal.

So the coaching I want to give you here is yes, absolutely challenge yourself to achieve your intention and goals. Only do it by challenging yourself to number one, break through into new beliefs that are specifically worded to support you in achieving your intentions and goals.

Number two, create a new self-identity that describes who you are as if you've already achieved those goals. Then any hustle that you do is an internal hustle of excitement and commitment. It's like I go to bed every night excited for the next day. Like I can't wait to wake up, even though I love my sleep, don't get me wrong. But I can't wait to wake up the next morning. I'm excited for what's on my plate. I'm excited for the goals and the intentions that I am pursuing here. So that feels like hustle, but it's a hustle of excitement and commitment to what matters to you, not an outward hustling because of comparison or coming from a place of lack.

You focus on who you need to become and then the results will follow. For the coaches we train inside of certification, that means challenging yourself to charge high ticket, to coach women entrepreneurs, to create a new level of income, which is a reflection of who you are becoming. This is where you want to put your energy and focus. When you do, the middle being messy, it's just fine because you know it's not your forever. It's just part of the experience of achieving your intention and goals.

All right, and step number three, bring your intention into your day. What fills your day is what you allow. Your intention isn't meant to be one more thing that you try and do. The power of your intention is it reflects for you a different new way of living and being that you're creating for yourself. So if $100,000 a year as a coach is who you want to be then that's what your intention is, or 250K a year. Whatever it is, same thing. Money coming in every day, same thing.

So to arrive where you want to be is a journey. That means having clear steps to take, prioritizing them as the first thing you do each day, not the last, and take action on them every single day. Even small actions count.

So to wrap up here, you re-decide, you allow the middle to be messy, and you bring your intention into your day. I promise you, pinky swear promise, that if you take 10 minutes to run through these three simple steps and really answer the self-coaching questions that I gave you, which you can do while you're drinking your favorite icy fruity tall one. Mine is a cranberry electrolyte fizzy water mocktail, I guess it would be called, that is so good after sweating outside every morning working with my horses.

Anyway, grab that icy drink, grab some shade, and take these 10 minutes, and I promise that you will feel revived inside and out. You will have a renewed sense of passion for the intentions that you care about most, and you'll build achieving them into your day so that progress happens every day. That, my beautiful soul, is going to make you feel so good about yourself and how you're spending your time this summer.

All right, one more thing, and then I'll share my manifesto with you like I promised. I founded my company to start a revolution, and that revolution is to empower women's financial independence through coaching. That means you becoming a business coach for women entrepreneurs, which is the best niche on the planet, hands down, absolutely.
